We ring the bells to call people to worship, to mark joyful Christian celebrations like Christmas and Easter, and to celebrate weddings in the church.
But sometimes we ring for solemn occasions too.
On Sunday 31st January, David tolled the tenor 100 times, as a mark of respect for all the lives lost during the Coronavirus pandemic. Flick was on hand to keep count (and then rang the tenor back down to its ‘safe’ position).
We hope to all return to the tower soon to ring once again for happier reasons.
